Tour No. 5: Vejle Fjord

The trip goes over the old Lillebæltsbro, on which you can also take a Bridgewalk, and along the old country road to Børkop and on to Brejning by Vejle Fjord. We follow the fjord through the summer house area Sellerup Strand until we reach Munkebjerg Forest.

We drive down the Munkebjerg hill like the Hill Climb for classic cars every year and drive along the fjord into Vejle, which lies at the bottom of the fjord. In Vejle, a break is held on the harbor at the iconic Fjordenhus. The building, which is located in the harbor basin, was designed by Olafur Eliasson. Fjordenhus serves as the headquarters for Kirk Kapital (the Lego family) and also houses a restaurant. It is possible to walk over the bridge and, from the lower floor, take a closer look at the unique construction.

The tour continues after the break on the northern side of the fjord. We drive along smaller roads through Bredballe, past Rohden Gods and on to Hotel Vejlefjord, where we enjoy our lunch.

After lunch we drive back to Vejle and pay My Garage a visit. My Garage sells exclusive luxury cars, vintage cars, classics. Many store their classics in separate glass garages in the building, which also houses various workshops.

A short lecture about My Garage will be arranged, and coffee/tea will be served. There will be an opportunity to look around among the cars on your own – My Garage / English

If you don’t want to visit My Garage, a walk around the park at Hotel Vejlefjord is highly recommended.

After the My Garage visit, the trip goes back to Hindsgavl Castle.
